e30 engine mounts
My 1985 E30 325e require new engine mounts.
I read in the 101 performance project for your BMW 3, project 25 that an E36 mounts are a direct bolt on replacement. Would this also work for my 1985 325e? If so would you please provide the part number for the mounts, washers and nuts. Thanks. |

Not sure how much better the E36 mounts are to be honest?
If you wanted a performance upgrade for a reason (ie, you intend to drive in such a way that the OEM rubber ones will fail quicker than desired) you could go for expensive urothene versions..... If you relly think thats the case then the cheap option is 4 hockey pucks and 2 big ol M12 bolts in grade 8 steel with washers and bolts.....then its going nowhere! Otherwise, just go in with OEM and plan to change them every 50,000 miles or so. |
