e36 m3 intake install ?'s
So i bought a 95 M3 with a cracked head and the previous owner had it all torn apart.. I'm finishing putting it back together but am not sure where a few of the lines go from the throttle body and the sensor on the valve cover and also some other random hoses and sensors.. attached are some pics

That seperate vacume outlet behinf the throttle body on the intake goes to a hard plastic line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator.
The yellow plug/porbe like thing is an intake air temp sensor it should plug into the back of the intake manifold if your car is OBD1. |

Just an FYI for anyone else reading this, the yellow sensor is the ambient air sensor... not the intake air temp sensor. It belongs in the belly pan, mine was tied up behind the headlight b/c the belly pan is missing...
Hose number one on the throttle body goes to the auxillary thermostat in the air intake tube, number two on the throttle body goes to a T in the coolant line under the intake manifold right by where the throttle body sits when installed. Number three is some sort of idle air port that goes to the hose pictured in the sixth picture down. The hose in picture two does indeed go to the fuel pressure regulator. The nipple shown in pic five has a line preformed to go under the intake and up into the other nipple of the auxillary thermostat and the hose pointed to in pic seven goes to a nipple in the intake air tubing im still unsure as to what the boot in pic three goes to... might just be extra parts...haha |

You are right it is the air temp sensor. How did wind up way up there? It usually goes in the duct that cools the brakes? It's up behind the bumper. I didnt think the harnes had that much slack?
