codes 1188 1189
I have 97 328i Auto with 170k it usually runs great lately it's been kicking off codes 1188 and 1189 (fuel trim issues both banks) the car generally runs great but sometimes the idle lopes a little (infrequently). I looked for vacume leaks and a torn throttle body elbow (it's only two years old) no tears. I cleaned the MAF by soakng it in alcohol. I am leaning toward the MAF it's original. Anyone had this problem?

It did turn out to be the MAS, the car totally would not idle with it connected. When I disconected it, the vehicle ran fine only in limp mode ( yellow tranny light on display)
