Hey everyone,
I have a 1986 325e that has been having some issues with gas mileage. I've been getting around 13 Mpg and as a student I'm beginning to shed tears at the pump. The engine is running extremely rich and one can smell it from the rear of the vehicle. My uncle who has been a BMW mechanic for 25 years told me I need to replace the thermostat. I've already bought the Pelican Parts book for the 3-series but it seems to favor the E-36 I know I will need to drain the coolant and remove a few hoses which I'm fine with, I just can't find any information on where to start. Any help would be wonderful and greatly appreciated!

I actually figured it out... Ingenuity at it's best? But if anyone else would like to know how, PM me and I'll work out a good post.
