1985 318i New Motor Stutters
Hello I am new to these forms and I am looking for some help. I just had my 318i motor completely rebuilt. The mechanic specializes in rebuilding motors, but he does not have much experience with BMW. I had him replace the idle control valve, new boots, new cold start valve, fuel pressure, injectors... The problem I am having is the car stutters as I accelerate and seems to have no power. It feels like the motor is not able to rev freely.
I hope this makes sense. Any suggestions would be welcomed. |

Just to give everyone an update. I gave the mechanic the timing instructions from the Bentley manual and this took care of the problem.
