I have a 1994 BWW, 318, and the A/C Control unit digital sometimes turnoff itself, does not work at all, then, suddenly, it starts working again, I replaced it, but same problem persists, so is not the unit. Any idea or suggestion?

Check the connections are good and it is getting the correct ignition on signal.
