my number 6 injector stopped working after I replaced my starter.. I tested the wiring going to the injectors as I got a check engine light saying that injector 3 was the problem. I turns out #6 is the problem. I traced the wire back to the dme the brown with the violet stripe and still have almost no reading. could i have a bad dme? It starts right up its just 1 cylinder is missing. I unplugged that cylinders plug wire and no change. any suggestions?

I don't knoww hat vehicle you have so I cannot look at the wiring.
You have 5 other working injectors, I would compare the signals. If the signal is different or missing, check that the wiring harness is in good shape. If the wiring in intact and no other problems can be found, the DME might be the issue. Keep in mind, if the DME sees a misfire, it may shut thei njector off to prevent catalyst damage. - Nick |
