Two weeks ago, I changed the o ring on the coolant temp sensor and refilled with coolant. I've discovered that I have codes Peake tool table 19/7b for thermostat problem. Do I need to completely drain the coolant or can I get by with half or so?

Just try bleeding the cooling system first and that should take care of your code
