Hi I have a 1998 316i Automatic, when at normal speed the car is good but when I use the kick down nothing !! it revs and revs but nothing ! So I took it to my local garage and they said it was a faulty oxygen sensor so they replaced this and it was great for 6 weeks now its happening again ? there is no dash light on so I am at a loss . I am sure sensors dont go that quick and is there any other things I need to look out for and could it be the sensor again ? Thanks and regards Clive

It sounds like your transmission is slipping. I would checkthe fluid level and conditon. Also check the DME for fault codes. There may be a fault related to transmission slip.
