Can someone help, please? I swapped a motors, dropped in a 325es into my 325i convertible. A few adjustments were made for the 325es to work. It turns over and stays on for about 1-2 seconds and then shuts off. It won't stay idle. I changed the idle control module and it's doing the same thing. Does anyone know what other adjustments need to be for it to idle right? Thanks

If you step on the gas can you keep it running? What were the few adjustments? The ES and the I are different motors not to mention different fuel injection systems. The crank sensors and cam sensors are in different spots. Also, doesn't the old ES motor have a two wire idle air motor and the I have a 3 wire idle air motor. You are going to need to get a repair manual for the ES and the I models and match the I components to the ES, or you can get an I computer and harness and change that.
