Checked countless times on my wiring. everything is connected right. front L/R connected and rear L/R connected. I spliced only the speakers, +constant, +switched and ground. left the other wires connected to block harness. there's this vga type of plug on the block harness and was wondering if that is to an amp or something because I am getting NO sound at all. and the only thing i can think of is that there is something that is switched on for the speakers to work. could this be fixed by simply purchasing the harness adapter?

It is difficult to answer your question because I do not know if you have the base or premium system. You probably have the premium system and therefore have and amp so use the RCA connectors.
