My BMW 320I shows the engine warning light any displays a code 4F when checked with the diagnsotic tool,description for the code is O2-sensor heater behind catalytic converter,bank 1,engine performance is very poor, what can i do?

This could be a failing oxygen sensor. Check that the exhaust system is sealed and there are no other problems influencing the o2 signal. If all else is good, replace the o2.
