Hi, I have a 1995 E36 325IC. The engin idles nice but I have two types of symptoms. 1st thing I notice is when I am accelerating and it gets up to about 3000 RPM before it shifts the power goes down a bit and acceleration stops surging then it resumes and shifts. This has been like this since I bought the car about 4 months ago. Now recently the car misses for a fraction of a second when starting from a stop and almost feels like it will stall but it immediately keeps running. Wondering what the problem is.

Your first issue could be normal, the DME will reduce power to the engine right before the trans shifts to reduce the load on the trans, most people never notice it. Second I would check your ignition system, plugs, coils boots, wires and so on, also make sure you don't have a vacuum leak or a cracked intake air boot.
