I had to adjust my throttle cable in doing this procedure...any idea as to where it's supposed to be set to? or how to adjust it back to an OEM setting? I have a 1991 318i with an M42, thank you...

There is no OEM specific setting. Loosen the cable until you can move the pedal and the throttle will not move. Tighten the cable until the there is a small amount of pedal movement before the throttle move. Any tighter and the cable will eventually break.
