The guy I bought this car off had already replaced the crand triger,he never did get it to run , I did a compression test and all 6 cyl didn't have over 60 psi, when I tour down the eng the rings were washed out ,the triger wire frome the DME is #3 pin outBRN-GRN but there is two wires on the back of the relay and acording to the schmatic from mitchell the second wire goes to a ETC unit what is the ETC? and why would this cause it to open the injectors and let excesive fuel in ? could there be a problem with the DME in the mean while I will check continuity on the control wires thanks for your help.

Next time do a "wet" compression test before tearing down the engine unless you wanted to rebuild it anyway. Which terminal goes off to the ETC. ETC could be electronic throttle control or electronic transmission control, I don't know what abbreviations Mitchell uses. What terminal number goes off to the ETC?
