The EGS control unit looks at the input shaft speed sensor and the output shaft speed sensor to tell if the transmission clutches are slipping. This means the 2-3 clutch is slipping. This could be due to a sticking shift/pressure control solenoid or sticking piston is valve body. A fluid exhange may cure this.
