2001 BMW 530i Just had a reconditioned engine with most of the parts not changed for e.g.Oxygen Sensors,Camshaft Sensors etc,etc..I just replaced both of those parts but the car still isn't shifting in the way it should.Though the car is performing a little better the engine does sound heavy when I put the foot down so can you advise me as o what other parts may need to be replaced??

I would start by checking the vehicle for fault codes. If the system is not working properly, a fault code will be set. This will be your best bet when diagnosing.

I would perform a fuel delivery system test. Check fuel pressure, volume and quality. Also, check backpressure.
