1995 318i 4 door base, front doors wont open inside ofr out

Hello all, I'm new to the Pelican family! Hope to be able to help folks out ad well as getting advice and help on my 1995 318i 4 door base.
Ive had a problem with boyh front doors from opening from the outside. I would enter the closed car through a back door to open the drivers door fron the inside. Now my drivers door wont open from the inside either. I know I should have taken care of this problem sooner. My issue, is I've been battling leukemia since 1998 and have limited funds. I have done repairs over the past 2 years since buying it based upon the safety importance first. I have replaced front struts and mounts, rear shocks and mounts, rotors pads and calipers all the way around. Just put 4 new tires on her this month. She runs like a dream now. But how can I fix front drivers door? I cannot remove the inside door panels to access any parts without opening door? I've noticed that the trunk lock still locks the 4 doors but will not unlock them. When I use the key in either front door, the lock knobs go up, but I still cant open drivers door. I have a hunch the drivers door isn't unlocking.
What do you think? Also anyone happen to live in the area of the NJ shore area? Maybe ill get lucky here lol!
