What to look out for in terms of major service items in 1997-8 M3 at purchase?

Hi All,

I am considering buying a 1997 or 1998 M3 coupe or sedan (looking at a few with miles between 75-110K). With that kind of mileage, what should I be looking for in terms of major service items to have been taken care of/replaced?

On driving these cars, what are they like in the winter with a set of good snow tires? Manageable or tricky?
