camshaft help

Hi, Im working on a mini r56/ n-12 posted to mini forum with no help. My question is.... can valve damage occur if the eccentric cam goes wide open. I had both camshafts and the eccentric cam out. Ive locked everything in time. I just need to relearn the eccentric stops. I just wanted to make sure when the eccentric motor goes fully both ways that theres no way for anything to hit. Im 99.9 percent sure but since its the first time with this motor, I just want to be sure. Thanks!
