Internal Speed Sensor
 

My insurance company is using rate information from my internal speed sensor to determine harsh braking events ie greater than 8 mph per second is harsh braking. I am not being harmed by the events but am positive almost all ' events' didn't occur. My question is, is it possible for that speed sensor, I am assuming the one on the differential. capable of providing accurate rate information. As far as I know, the car only uses that sensor for velocity, not rate.
