Unhappy Help to Disable Immobiliser on E36 320I 1993

Can anyone please help. I've just bought an all singing all dancing alarm for my BMW, but to get it working correctly I need to disable the factory fitted BMW standard immobiliser that cuts in when the doors are not opened with the ignition key.

Hi there. What year and model is your BMW? Also, which alarm system do you have, and why are you adding another one? Alarm systems are notorious for causing all sorts of problems.

Disable Immobiliser

Many thanks for replying. I have a 1993 320I. It has no alarm system fitted just the standard BMW immobiliser that works off the normal car key.
I've purchased a remote alarm immobiliser and am competent enought to fit it, but I can't figure out how to disable the existing one. It's needs to be disabled as it conflicts with the new system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot - that is a tough one. I know that these cars did come with an option to have no alarm installed - this is the case with my 318is (I believe). I think that this may be tied into the factory harness.

I'm not sure, but I think that the car might be wired for the factory alarm (just swap out a control unit). This might be the easier path to go (find a good used one on eBay - I've seen them there)...
