1996 M3 failed SMOG at 15 MPH

Hi All,

Im a little perplexed. 1996 M3, 230k miles, babied, use redline Oil 5w-30
failed the smog test TWICE! Same HCO component fail at 15 Mph.
ALL other components passed...so Im confused.
I have read articles, ranging from O2 sensors, to Mass Air flow sensors. Car runs great, no stalls, early morning starts are smooth, no rough idles.... acceleration is great on hwys...

I am ordering O2 sensors and if anyone wants a a copy of the smog test, i'd be happy to send it...

any ideas are really appreciated
