Locking issues with my 328ic e36 - Questions...
 

My 1997 328ic (convertible) just developed this locking issues. Here are the symptoms:
1. driver side door will only locks the driver side door and the rear trunk
2. passenger side door will lock & unlock both doors and the rear trunk
3. the central lock inside of the car will locks and unlocks the driver side door and the rear trunk.

I was told it might be the lock actuator itself. I would like to know which side is bad and if I am going after the right part? I hate to buy something that won't help me with.

The driver side lock actuator was bad. Replaced it and now working like the 1st day I bought the car. No help from this site, so I bought one of Amazon and much cheaper.
