Hey Nick
Any chance the secondary egr valve thing cause these problems, bc it does sound like an exhaust leak when driving about 15% louder than normal i did suck small vacuum hose seems to be ok, but could the valve be sticking partially open???

EGR should not reduce power that much. If it were stuck open, the engine would not idle.
