I unplug the battery to intall a system in my car, now mileage displays nothing but 99999999
Does anyone have any clue???? |

Sounds like the odometer coding plug crapped out, it can be replaced and the mileage reset.

On my car, a 318i there's a small plastic cover on the back of the instrument cluster that you pry off to change the plug. I think only a BMW tech can reset the mileage though, Hi Ho, Hi Ho its off to the dealer we go!!

be very careful you don't get the "tampered" dot on your display.
If you do, then you're totally screwed and you'll lose the value of your car big time. Talk to the dealer in DETAIL about this. |
