Occasional tick from driver side rear
1997 328 vert with 148k miles.
Hearing a tick when driving with open window past parked cars. At slow speed I can tell it's occasionally 1-3 ticks per tire rotation maybe about 10-20degrees apart. But not every rotation. Feels like it happens when there's slack in drive line as in when I'm <10mph going thru residential city streets. >20mph, I don't hear anything Suspicion is CV or wheel bearing? I still have yet to do shock mounts and rtabs on this car. Rear shocks are unknown as well. |

Also...don't know if truly related but feels like it happens more pronounced when turning right. So adding more load on the driver side suspension

for future readers. always check the simple things first!
had it up in the air, spun it, didn't hear anything. cv boot looked fine. the wheel mounting surface was pretty full of crud though. wire brushed it and the brake rotor mounting surface. put wheel back on, make sure torq correctly. no more click! guessing wheel was ever so slightly off |
