Great info as always!
My clutch pedal seems to be rather hard to press down, and the bight point is almost all the way down.. is this normal for an e36 323i or would you say further inspection is needed? thanks __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: BMW E30/E36 Clutch Slave Cylinder Replacement | 3-Series (1983-1999) | Pelican Parts DIY Maitenance Article |

Hmmm, it shouldn't be hard to push down, and that bite point seems too low. You might have a broken pivot, or something else in the bellhousing.

If you're going to take things apart and depending on what mileage you have on your current clutch, you might want to replace it. Of course, make sure to check over everything and the items Casey listed above first to ensure going this route is the right course of action. If you think it's time and you find the cause we have some pretty awesome clutch kits that include everything you'll want for the job while you're in there. They're also fairly inexpensive. Can check them out below. Good luck!
