Diff done!!!! What next ?????

Got the diff replaced yesterday.. Not too difficult, took about 5 hrs. (only superhuman effort !!) Car runs great.. NO noise !! There is a "thumping" over some bumps and quite a bit of body sway. The shocks look original, so after 158,000 miles I'm sure they are due for replacement.. Any suggestions for a street driven car.???? Since they built the new track at B'ham, I'm trying to get him into BMWCCA to try some DE. Everything else feels tight. It pulls slightly to left, so it looks like the alignment needs reset. Going to replace pads all around ???. and change fluids. Just got back from checking out the race car ("81 320i) and it looks like we'll be ready for SCCA IT in about 2 weeks. The car looks SHARP.....My brother-in-law and nephew are really doing a great job and it is a real learning experiance...Any suggestions for the '91 318is is GREATLY appreciated !!!!

Sounds like your rear shock mounts may be bad.
