I have just adjusted my valves on my e30 86 325e auto using your book, but they sound louder than before so I need to verify a couple of things. This is my first attempt at this, so sorry if I've missed something. Do I turn the crank to get TDC once for every cylinder, or once for each valve? The book seems to suggest once for each cylinder. But that seems to mean that the 2 cam lobes won't be at TDC at the same time to adjust each properly.
Can you help. Also it's very hard to turn the motor using the crank so I'll try the fan clutch this time. Thanks

Remove the spark plugs, it will make turning the engine over easier.

When TDC is referred to in the article, it means each specific cylinder TDC. So that when adjusting on each cylinder, the valves have no pressure on them from the camshaft lobes.
