I'm replacing the alternator in my 1991 318i. It has a stock Bosch 80A alternator in it right now, but the only ones I can find from local part stores is the 90A. Are these interchangeable? Will the 90A fit on the vehicle the same that the 80A did?

The housing and mounting points should be the same. So the larger amp should fit fine.
