Okay I have a 1994 BMW 325i 6 cyl its been parked for about a year I was told. The guy I bought it from changed the fuel pumps and relays. I did research and figured it would be the crank shaft position censor so I bought a genuine one for $150, replaced it, and still not getting fuel or spark. The guy I bought it from says he diagnosed it by the book and suggested it was the computer dme/ecu I guess. I don't know what to do next. Could the computer be bad? I'm in need of help asap. Battery does not keep charge , every time I try to test it I have to leave it on cables, not sure if that would have anything to do with it. If I change the ecu would it have to be the exact same serial/model number ? Or could it be a used one of that year? And if not the same model number would I have to get it flashes?

it could be the DME. if the DME has all power and grounds, as well as cam and crank signal, I would suspect it. Confirm there are no fault codes that would block starting. You will need the same part # DME.
