I have a BMW 328i. The A C has been charged TWICE by two different Auto repair shops. Yet, air is cold from both outside vents and warm to hot from middle vents. It gets warmer after driving a bit. I checked the low pressure side with a gauge that came with a can of 134 freon I bought and it was at 30. Since it is between 80 and 85 degrees here, I added freon to increase psi to 40. AC Compressor cycles on and off intermittently but makes a groaning sound at times before shutting off then it engages right back again. I'm a little Leary taking it to anyone now without some idea of what is happening. Please advice. I'd rather DYI at this point if possible. Thanks in advance.

If pressure is correct, and both sides of the vehicle produce cold are, but the center is warm, you likely have a mode or blend door issue. The motors on the heater box should be checked using a scan tool.
