What filter is on it ?
Only use a genuine filter (Mahle oc 54)

It would be a Quick , cheap , and easy repair if all it took was a filter change and check the oil level isn’t to high when hot ..........

I use a fluke , but a $15 harbor freight ir thermometer will work to check oil heat from stat to cooler , then see fan kick in and cool it back down ....

Bad news for us 964/993 guys is the small temp sensor in oil cooler is nla .
Good news is the fan isn’t that noisy and an open circuit to sensor just runs it high permanently.
Can fit a switch , or just unplug it for permanent operation.

This may be old news , but I only just found out this week when I went to order new parts for this weekends oil cooler project ..
