964 Turbo - Boost Gauge Question...

Chaps,

Not sure if anyone knows this, being a 964 gen question in a 930 forum....but I'll give it a go (the 964/993 forum is complete tumbleweed)

Now my engine's back up and running, dyno'd and feeling sweet (and f-fast), I was wondering whether the integrated digital boost readout on the OBC can be made to read higher than the stock 0.7bar?

Is it a function of the sender that means it only reads to 0.7bar, or the way the OBC is programmed? If I were to source a sender that reads to 2 bar, am I likely to get a readout that displays my max of 1.4 bar? The digital display is in the format of "0.0" with a whole unit readout as well as the tenths.

(As an aside, a few years ago I did have a sub project to integrate a Stack stepper drive intelligent boost gauge into a stock 964 clock gauge...removing the clock internals and replace with Stack, made it look stock with custom needle and newly printed face, and crucially it retained the warning lights around the perimeter.....the trouble is, I actually prefer to have a good old analogue clock. Oh my God, I AM slowly becoming my Father, lol!)

Before someone suggests it, I can't swap the clock for a 934 style boost gauge, as there are a dozen warning lights in that unit, one inbetween each clock numeral.

Thanks in advance
S
