Iíve driven 356s coast-to-coast 5 or 6 times. They werenít VWs, but the technology is similar, and some parts are even interchangeable. (For a spare tire I used a 145x15 on a VW rim to save space.) I would have done the same in a VW. I would probably do more pre-trip planning, but I could be tempted to make another run to the west coast in either my Ď56 Coupe or my Ď65 Beetle.
