SW, so it cost you almost $18k out of pocket to drive an awesome toy for a while. How long did you have it? Break that down and figure out how much is cost you every time that time that car made you smile and gave you that warm, fuzzy feeling. No one here has made money on the sale of a Porsche they put a lot of work into. I bought my '87 Carrera for $17k, threw about $8k worth of parts and some shop labor, but mostly DIY'ed and then sold it 2 yrs. later for $16k. So it cost me $9k to drive an amzing car for two years, learn an amazing amount of stuff, make a ton of new friends, maybe pick up a lady once or twice and....would I do it again. You bet your a$s! And I'd lose more money next time because now I know more about what mods I REALLY should have done.
