Take the feedback above with a grain of salt. If you like biking, hiking, skiing, fishing etc... then this place cant be beat. You are literally minutes away from all of those activities at an enormous scale. Real estate is less expensive, save for a couple pockets of huge victorian homes in Fairhaven and parts of Bham. The downtown area is great too, lots of great restaurants and breweries.
You are also pretty much equidistant from Van BC and Seattle. When I lived there it was a toss upon which city we would hit.
