If you're transplanted to Hawaii, although the drives are beautiful on any of the islands, you'll find little opportunity for taking her up to speed, except for very short burts, maybe. The big island may be an exception, it's wide open.

Side note: I just shipped a car of similar weight, fully insured for $950 with Matson. As I understand it, all cars essentially ship on their vessels regardless of which middleman you go with. Dropped it off at Long Beach harbor which is probably where your's will embark from. It took less than 30 minutes to check the car in and catch a cab back to mass transit station.

Hey, maybe lease it to a caring person [like me ] while you're away, write a contract and put a mileage limitation on it, and have it back when you return.
