FWIW, I’ve gotten that “hitler” flak a few times. Sometimes sneeringly, sometimes they just think they are being funny. People can be unthinking sometimes...
My favorite thus far was a coworker that commented when I was working on the P car and drove the wife’s Model 3 in to work instead.
“Don’t you own any American cars?”
