Sigh...Wish it was summer (any harm on running with straight pipes?)

Yesterday I had this idea, lets remove the silencer and rev her couple times.

Not a good idea. Now all i want to do is to drive her!!

What a sound, and its incredible how fast she revs. Never knew that the stock silencer is that restrictive.

Is there any harm running her with straight pipes, a person in my garage told me that it might cause the meltdown of the pistons..this true??

Wish it was summer......but no...we have couple meters of snow and temperature is usually -5-35 celsius...
