When I lookedi n t he back of the "911 Story" by Paul Frere, the production numbers look something like this:

1965-1967 - 10,723 all models

1967-1969 - 5,056 S model
1968-1969 - 6,618 T model
1968 - 11,610 L model
1969 - 2,826 E model

1970-1971 - 15,082 T model
1970-1971 - 4,927 E model
1970-1971 - 4,691 S model

1972-1973 - 16,933 T model
1972-1973 - 4,406 E model
1972-1973 - 5,094 S model
1973 - 1,590 RS model

Total long noses made: 135,065

So, E's are relatively rare, potenailly more rare than the S's.
