Yeah, I do sound mixed up, don't I.

The engine is a GE case from a '79 bus (type 4) with a 215 flywheel and clutch.
The 911 transmission is not available for interview at the moment, but is a 70/71 model as in the picture below but it appears the ears have worn off the fork.
I also have a 914 transmission. It appears that the only (bell housing end) difference is the fork and pivot bolt. It this bolt can be switched (with the TO and fork), would it not convert the tranny to a "push-type"? Then the VW clutch etc would bolt up.
