I'm not sure that "reading" plugs has as much relevence as in the past when using lead-free gas...

I would find a way to certify WOT A/F...nearing or exceeding 14 is a smidge dangerous ( 12.5 is a good target)...and lean=hp ( at least over a small range) is kinda expected..so be careful not to have high bragging rights hp ...but later meltdown.

Maybe a combo EGT .... A/F reading basis would help ?????

Forget about crank hp....no relevence, so don't even open the 0.85 factor can of worms...it's what gets to the ground that matters.

EDIT:
PS--- are these SAE "corrected" numbers..or simply SAE? Might be a difference in that a local atmospheric correction factor is applied ( to normalize to sea level, 70 degF, 50%RH conditions...or such). Not correcting would be to respond too much to "that day's" conditions..and makes comparisons difficult).
