the engine stand I have is just like the ones above, I had to get the jack up off the ground and then assemble the stand around the jack. when I put the engine back on the jack I did the same procedure and had to take the stand apart. I had to get pretty creative with the whole procedure, jack up engine, put blocks under engine, make platform for jack, pick up engine, assemble stand, put engine on stand, the whole thing would be so much easier with a "U" shaped engine stand. but I could not see buying a new stand after spending as much money as I did. a bad 1st gear syncro turned into SSIs, new clutch, revalved rear shocks, and all new syncros and syncro hubs and several specalized tools
