If one was going to go through the expense of re-building an engine and wanted power but no lag, what about a super-charger? or is that heresy in a Porsche? (I figure someone has tried this)
A buddy of mine installed a supercharger in his '79 911SC with CIS. I think it was made by supercharging of knoxville. He ran too much boost (wrong pulley!) on street gas and toasted the cylinders. But now it is sorted and very quick. He's gone through quite a bit time and money to get it to run right. I like it but in my opinion the motor doesn't quite sound like a 911 now. I believe there is also a supercharger kit for the 3.2 motor.
