I use Weller guns for this....the kind that look like pistols.
They are available in different wattage ratings....like 100/140W...or 150/250W.
I use the 100/140...and have been happy with it for years.
The nice thing....unless you pull the trigger...they are cold.
They take about 5 seconds to heat up...and cool quite fast.
The tips are replaceable (get several spares when you buy the gun) and use only rosin core solder...not acid core (it will eat your connectors after a while).
Also...rosin core solder is available in a non-cleaning style...meaning no rosin leftovers to pick off after the job is done (cleaner looking joints).
