Do I stay stock?

I have a totally original 88 targa 930. I need to replace the 3dlz kkk turbo as the output pipe has a peice missing and it leaks boost.

I love the fact my car is original, I want to occasionally run it at the track with the club. I am not a concourse addict and I want a daily driver. I want to use it for timed tarmac rallies and the like.

I need to replace the turbo, do I put a 3dlz back in or do I put in a K27? Im worried that if I put in a K27 then I start down the path of performance modifications. I admit that I quite enjoy the skill of driving this car managing speed/boost/shifting/lag.

Can anyone point me in the direction of replacement KKK 3DLZ turbos?
