Away from the theory for a minute, I ran the Carrera front rubber spoiler for years without a rear spoiler. Tons of track time, and the car always felt planted. Only exception was the at the top of the uphill esses at Watkins Glen with a 25 knot crosswind one weekend - the rear end was floaty under those conditions.

The rubber you are looking at looks a little raggy. I bought a nice used one for $100, to replace the ripped and raggged original. They get knocked around, and look terrible when that happens.

My take? Keep your eyes open for a nice one at $100 or less, and meantime concetrate on tightening up brakes, suspension, and safety gear - much more bang for the buck.
