J P, I'm astonished that 10 out of 50 drivers do the chores!?! In Redwood region, most show up early to help, and if you ain't in the driving group, you're working. I never even thought that doing a 'job' was optional.

Dan, it might have been worth complaining to the Zone officers about the problems in your region. It seems to me like each region should be required to host AX if at all possible!
I think what JP was saying was that 10 drivers volunteered to ensure some leadership in the mechanics of getting the work done (registration, course design and setup, timing, safety etc). It is a requirement that, if you do AutoCross, you spend your non-driving time maintaining the course.
